Our asbestos services keep your business in compliance with regulations and maintain it as a safe working environment.
We have employees who are certified under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act. Our building inspectors have experience, and they keep on top of current regulations and practices by taking continuing education classes.
We inspect your building to determine Asbestos Containing Materials. Once they are identified, our technician checks to see if they are intact. Materials and structures that may contain asbestos are many. They could be boiler pipes and the insulation for them or floor or ceiling tiles.
When we use the Phase Contrast Microscopy method, we use a pump to get an air sample. Immediately we can check for the concentration of asbestos fibers in it. This test is quick and inexpensive. The Polarized Light Microscopy method is preferred method for detecting asbestos fibers in a building because in the first method, non-asbestos fibers are often mixed in with asbestos fibers, and detecting the difference can be difficult. For the PLM testing, our building inspector identifies ACMs, samples them, and brings the sample back to our lab for materials testing.
If abatement is needed, we can correct the situation. Another part of controlling asbestos in is to take the preventative step of visually inspecting the site for damaged or deteriorating ACMs on a regular basis. We are an Environmental Consulting Firm that does Environmental Site Assessments. Contact Rone Engineering for Asbestos testing before you start a major project.
