At Rone Engineering, we test concrete to ensure that all industry and customer standards are met.
Our geotechnical engineers specialize in multiple inspections, mix designs, strength and stress testing, fabrication, and quality control issues.
Comprehensive Strength Testing
Our state-of-the-art laboratories, which span 40,000 square feet, are equipped to handle a wide variety of customer-directed tests include temperature, cement-water ratio, air content and compressive strength. Resulting data can ensure that customer project specifications are met.
After we thoroughly inspect concrete forms and subgrade conditions, our professionals can make expert recommendations of the placement of steel reinforcements, taking into account size, spacing and clearance factors. We also carefully inspect items such as unbonded tendons and anchorage as well as calibrate gauges and stressing jacks. Mix designs and reviews can be performed.
Environmental Consulting Services
Once concrete is placed, our geotechnical engineers offer additional concrete testing as part of our environmental consulting services. We use pachometer testing to find existing steel reinforcements and associated information such as spacing and length. By employing the latest probe testing methods, we can check the quality and uniformity of the concrete. We use non-destructive testing methods in order to check compressive strength and locate weak spots. By performing petrographic analysis, our professionals can analyze concrete for air content and water-cement ratios.
All of our concrete services are performed in our fully certified, fully functional laboratories and offices. Our laboratory not only meets the requirements of ASTM E 329, ASTM D 3740, and ASTM C 1077, but is also fully accredited and meets the requirements of ISO 17025 and R18.
