Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Evaluations
NDT helps to ensure the success of an in-progress or newly completed project in construction and other industries.
It also lays the groundwork for the integrity of the project going into the future. We employ highly qualified engineers, geologists, geoscientists, technicians and laborattory personnel to manage your Non Destructive Testing.
The most common Non Destructive Testing is Visual Testing or an inspection with the naked eye by a knowledgeable and skilled person. It is also called Direct Viewing, and the tester may employ the help of other devices such as computer-aided equipment, magnifying glasses and CCDs. VT can spot corrosion, cracks and parts that are our of alignment.
Radiographic Testing directs short X-rays or gamma waves at an object in order to evaluate its properties. Types of RT include computed tomography, computed radiography, film radiography, and digital radiography. Some applications of this technology are examining forgings and measuring and mapping wall thickness. Among the industries RT is used in are aerospace, petrochemical, automotive and waste management.
Other tests we do are Leak, Ultrasonic, Acoustic Emission, Thermal Infrared, Liquid Penetrant, Wireline, Ground Penetrating Radar, Magnetic Particle Inspection and Vibration Analysis. Some testing and analysis of on-site raw data is performed at our lab that is 40,000 square feet. We have credentials from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Office in Dallas, the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory and other entities to prove the quality and consistency of our work.
